Bitcoin’s exchange rate versus the US dollar crossed the $1,000 mark first on the online exchange Bitfinex on Sunday evening GMT. 120,000 Bitcoins Stolen in Bitfinex Hack
Bitcoin’s price crashed today as Bitfinex dramatically announced a “security breach” that led to the theft of roughly 120,000 bitcoins. The biggest USD bitcoin exchange further announced a shutting down of its website and trading in ominous signs reminiscent of MT Gox.

Coinbase offers Bitcoin Cash Jan 2018, Funds locked till then
Once supported, customers will be able to withdraw bitcoin cash. We'll make a determination at a later date about adding trading support. In the meantime, customer bitcoin cash will remain safely stored on Coinbase.

Looks like coinbase is going to offer support for Bitcoin Cash aka BCH. However any coinbase users will not be able to withdrawl their BCH till Jan 2018.
