Bitcoin's biggest exchange Mt. Gox halts all transactions

Mt. Gox, once the world's biggest trading platform for the virtual currency bitcoin, abruptly halted all of its transactions on Tuesday, raising concerns among users and prompting questions about the future of bitcoin itself.

The Mt. Gox website and Twitter accounts went blank and its Japan-based office was empty.

Hacking group threatens to compromise major Korean banks unless Bitcoin ransom is paid

A global hacking group has threatened to conduct cyberattacks on major South Korean banks, unless a ransom payment is made by its imposed deadline, next Monday.
